I've never met a color I didn't like. Color is so emotional. Nature provides the best blending and coordinating we will ever find. Whoever said "Blue and Green, Should Never Be Seen" must never have laid upon a grassy hill and looked up--otherwise they would have noticed how beautiful the trees look against the deep blue sky.

As a child, I could often be found just making little dots of color with my crayons. It was fascinating for me to see how they behaved next to each other. This is perhaps why I love working with wool fibers. Blending roving gives the maker so much control over color palettes.

I love flowers and gardening. One day as I was trimming a robust Cone Flower, I began to admire its strengths. It held a bright pink hue and was one of the most drought tolerant perennials my garden possessed. "You are so strong and so beautiful", I said respectfully. "But you're not just here to look pretty...you have a purpose too", I wisely added.

Essential Oils come from the petals and leaves of plants. These oils contain many medicinal properties. Oregano, for example, has antibacterial, antibiotic, antiparasitic, antiviral and disinfectant properties. Because of my own positive experiences staying healthy, youthful and peaceful with essential oils, I wanted to create a way to carry their fragrances with me--and so, the "Peace-Petal" was born. Each flower's center is created with 100% wool roving and allows several drops of Essential Oil to be held in the center. You will be amazed at how long the fragrance lasts.

I believe happy thoughts make happy things. When you truly love what you do, you don't need to shout it to the world (although I do feel that way often), our passions and joys are always transparent in our creations.

I love this magnificent world and all it's beauty. I often wonder how many colors and how many fragrances this planet truly holds. Peace*Petals. Pretty with a purpose.
